Relationship readings -- Ancient Future Tantra
Every relationship has a shape. Not a verdict -- a shape. A direction the two charts make together that neither would take alone.
Relationship readings at AFT begin where individual work leaves off. Each person who comes to a relationship reading has already completed their own chart session -- the individual reading, the questions, the life map. What remains is the relational question: what does this particular pairing ask of each person, and what does it make possible together?
These readings are practitioner-crafted. There is no automated report. Each person submits their intentions separately. The astrologer works with both charts before the session. You attend together. The reading arrives afterward.
Relationship readings require that both people have completed an individual chart session. If you have not yet had your individual reading, begin there. The individual chart is the ground from which every relationship reading grows.
Relationship types
For friendships, creative collaborations, and professional partnerships where the bond is built on shared work and mutual respect. The chart shows where two people move easily together, where they pull against each other, and where the friction is the teaching.
The complete relational map for couples and life partners. All compatibility dimensions read together: traditional Kuta scoring, planetary synastry, mutual Karakas, dasha timing. What the relationship is built for. Where it carries the most life.
Two people building something together in the world. The chart reads the architecture of the partnership: where each person's strength fills the other's gap, where decision-making will require negotiation, and whether the timing supports what you are trying to build.
For couples on a shared practice path. Where your practices support each other -- and where they challenge. The chart as a map of your practice together: what opens, what is asked of you, and how the relationship itself becomes a form of transmission.
The oldest relational form in the tradition. The chart reads the transmission channel between teacher and student: what is natural to pass, what requires particular care, and where the student's chart shows readiness for what the teacher carries.
The relationship between a healer and the person they serve has its own chart. Where the practitioner's capacities meet the client's needs. What the relationship is built to heal, and what boundaries the chart asks each person to hold.
Two people making something together that neither would make alone. The chart reads the creative field between them: where inspiration flows easily, where different aesthetics create productive tension, and what the collaboration is capable of producing at its best.
A gestalt is not a collection of pairs -- it is a field. In the traditions this is called a kula or a sangha: a group of people holding a shared intention with a degree of connection that creates something greater than the sum of its members. The Gestalt reading maps this field as its own entity. This is a developing offering with its own dedicated page.
Full description coming →One person, many relationships
A person does not belong to one relationship. The same individual may have a Mitra reading with a creative collaborator, a Life Partner reading with their spouse, and a Teacher & Student reading with the person who carries their lineage. Each reading uses a different lens. Each is its own map. The individual chart is the ground from which all of them grow.
A note on craft
Relationship readings are not automated. Each one is shaped by the astrologer from the charts, the session, and the intentions each person brings. What you receive will be specific to your situation -- not a template applied to your names. Jyotish has the precision for this. The work is to use it well.
Each person submits separately
Your partner will submit their own intentions independently. Neither of you will see the other's submission before the session. This is intentional -- what you each bring to the relationship is yours to name first, without filtering it through the other's perception.
